I'm Georgie, an artist, researcher, filmmaker and fan of talking animals. My work uses expanded forms of storytelling to reflect on our complex relationships with other animals and (un)living beings in an age of mass extinction. By entering my constructed worlds you may encounter a suicidal parakeet, a leech who is a poet or an ocean with a broken heart.
I am a member of studio collective Daisy Chain in The Hague. Since graduating from MA Artistic Research at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) in 2021, I have shared my work and research through institutions and initiatives including Kooman’s Poppentheater, Stedelijk Museum Breda, Stroom Den Haag, OtherWise, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Page Not Found, iii, and SEA Foundation. My practice has been supported by Stroom Den Haag, Mondriaan Fonds, Amarte Fonds, Arts Council England and Gemeente Den Haag. From 2023-24, I was a member of the Design Lectorate Research Group at KABK and in 2025 a participant in the inaugural WET Small Film School in Rotterdam.
Alongside my practice, I work as the Research Coordinator of Lectorate FILM and Coordinator of MA Artistic Research KABK, and I teach ‘Cine-writing: Strategies of Essay Filmmaking’ at Leiden University.

March 2026 | Go Short film pitch
I'm very happy to have been selected to participate in the industry pitch for my new short film Sine Loco at Go Short Film Festival in Nijmegen in April.

February 2026 | Awkward Subjects
This month, I was invited to contribute a film to the Awkward Subjects conference organised by Sam Wilson Fletcher and Hamish Lineham at a 14th century prison in Leiden. It was a great combination of artists, writers and academics and a perfect excuse to test out a new edit of a film.

January 2026 | Residency at iii
I am excited to hear that I have been selected to undertake a development residency at iii in Oct-Nov 2026. I'll be using the time to develop techniques of live filmmaking for an audience.

January 2026 | Funding for new film

November 2025 | New equipment grant
Through a Mondriaan Fonds Development voucher, I am able to purchase new camera lenses and a projector for future live film performances. Thank you Mondriaan!
